SO, yes, you mostly know me as a jewelry designer because that is mainly what I blog about here.  What you may not know is that before I became a jewelry designer, I was first and foremost an artist.  I have been actively engaged in creating artistic works since I was a child.  Art moves me, constantly, and it lives deep in my soul, and when I am not making jewelry I am usually making art.  My pursuits and passions lie in mixed media altered art, collage, assemblage and altered art dolls.  I have been itching to make clay primitive art dolls since forever, and I’m hoping to get into that this winter.  In the meantime, I have a few selected pieces of artwork for sale in the shop – and for a change of pace I thought I give you a sampling.

“Always Travel Towards the Sun” is an 8×10 acrylics, inks and ephemera mixed media collage on canvas, and is an original signed work, a one of a kind.  I think the title says it all about this warm and whimsical work of art. The inspirational message in this is to strive to be happy, because life is short and unpredictable. Find joy in a lot of little things, and pretty soon you’ll be smiling again!

“Take Time To Dance” is a 6×9 original, signed mixed media artwork collage on 140lb cold press watercolor paper. The inspiration in the message reminds us that we need to take time to renew and revitalize ourselves, no matter how busy we are, in order to maintain sanity! Remember to let yourself be free now and then, put the dance back in your steps!

Both of these art works are available in my shop – plus several more.   Here’s a quick LINK if you’d like to check them out – enjoy!   Happy browsing!!
